Writing prompts

Post 4 of blaugustreborn

I’m back from hols and I haven’t had a chance to catch up fully on all the Blaugust writing prompts, so apologies if I’m repeating information.

If I’m stuck for ideas, the 30 day challenges are a fab way to get going.  I like them because they are generally a mix of your favourite screenshots and answering questions (where you can be as concise or as verbose as you wish).

I tend to not do them every day for 30 days, but instead answer 5 questions in one post, weekly.

I have completed challenges for Skyrim, Dragon Age and (nearly finished) Lord of the Rings Online.  The link doesn’t work any more for the Dragon Age challenge but you can use my challenges if that’s your fandom.  I’m sure there’s a challenge out there for just about anything, but you could always make up your own…

Other questionnaires have been popular during previous Blaugusts, like where do you fall on the D&D alignment scale (I’m Chaotic Neutral for the record) or this gaming questionnaire set up during Blaugust 2014.

Finally, write up a guide for something you constantly look up.  I’ve found that sometimes, although there may be a lot of information out there, it isn’t always in the format you wish or collated.  Make sure to credit (and link to) your source(s) of information though.

  1. I need to try those 30 Challenges. I’ve never done them before. Since I’m working in LOTRO again, I’ll start with that one. This month is turning into a pretty exciting thing. Thanks for the ideas!

you’re more than welcome – looking forward to reading your posts 🙂

  2. I wrote a guide this week! Also I enjoy taking the characters that I play and get a little role-play-ee with them and write their stories. I bought a writing prompts diary if I get stuck but I’ve been treating it more like a personal diary lately.
